Each year fun and educational programs are scheduled, but always back by popular demand is Critterman. Call the Library for specific dates.
Our Machines
The Library has a laminator, a die cut and a combine machine available for public use. The Library has a variety of die cuts in various sizes and shapes. Our machines were donated by the Library Booster Club. Use of the machines is free to the public except for the laminator, the charge is 50 cents per foot to cover the cost of the laminating film. You will need to use your own supplies for the die cuts and combine machines. Combs can be purchased at any office supply store.
The Library has eleven computers with internet access and one that is available offline for GED practice tests, Word documents, and some games for children. All computers are linked to a black and white printer, and one computer has a scanner. The charge for all printed pages is 20 cents each.
The Library has a copy machine available to the public during regular business hours. The charge per copy is 20 cents. Double sided copies are 35 cents.
Meeting Room
The meeting room is available for meetings of 40 people or less. We encourage use of the room by community groups and organizations and by individuals for meetings which are for cultural, educational, and/or civic betterment.
The fees are $25.00 per day for individuals, and $50.00 per day for businesses with a $50.00 deposit that will be returned upon inspection of the room after the event. There is no charge for Civic Groups.
Applicants must read the policies and procedures, fill out an application before making reservations, and be prepared to pay fees and deposits.

Paperback Exchange
There is a paperback exchange for patrons. It is a one for one exchange. Please bring books in good condition only.
Recycling Program
Recycle your magazines in our free magazine rack, and stop and browse the messages on the public bulletin board. Both are located in the foyer of the Library.
Internal Revenue Service
The most frequently used IRS forms are available at the library through April 15th of each year, while supplies last. Forms can also be downloaded from the IRS website.
Interlibrary Loan Online
When a patron needs a material not owned by the Bridgeport Public Library, we can request it on loan from another library. This is called Interlibrary Loan (ILL). The charge for this service is the cost of return postage that must be paid when the material is checked out. Audio tapes, CD’s, videos, books and photocopies are all available through Interlibrary Loan. To participate in Interlibrary Loan, please fill out the form and return to the Library.
