Welcome to Bridgeport Public Library!
We have over 30,000 books, magazines, audio cassettes, newspapers, CD’s and videos available for use by the public. New books are marked with a red dot for easy identification. Spanish books and videos of all levels are also available.
Public Computers
Computers are available for use by the public, including internet access. These computers are equipped with such programs as Microsoft Office 2003 Suite, Microsoft Office Publisher 2003, Microsoft Office Power Point 2003, Internet access, numerous reference titles, tutorials, and children’s programs.
North Texas Library Consortium
As a member of this consortium, library card holders have access to the materials of 13 other libraries. Simply present your Bridgeport library card on location at the member libraries or you may place a hold on the item and it will be sent to our library. There is no postage fee for items requested with in the consortium. You may search the entire catalog at: http://catalog.northtexaslibraries.org.
Members of the North Texas Consortium include: Alvarado, Aubrey, Decatur, Justin, Kennedale, Krum, Lake Cities, Mineral Wells, Ponder, Roanoke, Saginaw, Sanger.

You may wish to browse or may be looking for something specific. Please use the online card catalog or feel free to ask for assistance from one of our friendly staff members. Reserves may be placed on unavailable items. You will be notified when the item is available. Please be sure we have your current information on file. You will have 24 hours to pick the item up or make arrangements to do so.

Memorial/Honor Book Program
Our library Memorial/Honor Book Program provides a perfect way to celebrate the accomplishments of friends and family members. Graduations, birthday, anniversaries, --any special event-- can be celebrated with an Honor Book. The form can be filled out and brought to the library.
